My interest in art started at a young age with dance and the creativity of choreography. I spent all of my childhood and early adulthood performing and competing in various styles of dance. In my early twenties, not sure of what I wanted to do with my life, my mother mentioned taking graphic design courses. Once I started the classes I was hooked. I wasn’t much of freehand artist, but graphics programs provided me an outlet to create with a computer what I couldn’t create with pencil and paper. I began working as a graphic designer for a local company creating business advertisements, digital media and magazine layouts. As a freelance designer, I started dabbling with web design and branding.
I enjoy the fact that each new project gives me the opportunity to design something creative and unique.
All of this has lead me to where I am now as part of the Stellar Studios team. I am very lucky to be able to work in a field that is creative and never boring. In my spare time I can be found listening to music and going to the occasional music festival, watching movies with my husband – eating way too much popcorn and candy, gardening, trying to learn photography, cooking (and eating), and spending time with family, friends and my sweet dogs, Gracie (the protective German Shepherd) and Nan (the chunky little snoring pointer mix).
